It's been inspiring to see the massive response in the San Francisco Bay Area to the likely abduction of high school student Sierra LaMar.This blog commends the passion and dedication shown by the innumerable professionals and volunteers alike, giving up untold hours of free time to defend the values of their community.
It is clear the Bay Area is sending a message.A line has definitely been drawn.Like this blog, they will not accept the predatory abduction, abuse and/or murder of young women. If it's three more weeks or three more years,we can be confident Sierra LaMar will still be looked for by her many loyal friends and steadfast neighbors. At least this active statement makes the crisis a little more bearable.

Another Missing Person:Silicon Valley Girl Disappears
Once again, the eye of truth is seeking answers.A Silicon Valley teenager,Sierra LaMar,15,has gone missing from her Morgan Hill,California home.A bag of her clothing and her cellphone were found tossed by the roadside.
As readers may know,we have been informed of the cases of two other young Hispanic women, who turned out to have been murdered in Los Angeles in the past 12 months.Los Angeles is 320 miles from the LaMar home in Santa Clara County. That doesn't mean there is any connection with Sierra's case.
Sierra could not be tracked by search dogs beyond the end of her driveway in Morgan Hill, raising the possiblity that someone drove off with her.Her bus driver didn't see her the day she went missing. We pray for her safe return as soon as possible.
The connection we do know is,our search for justice for all these women will go forward,no matter how busy it gets.

Missing L.A. Mom:The Story and the Feeling
No one can read or cover such a story of senseless, violent crime without being affected by it.Now that a definitive i.d. of the body dumped off an L.A. on-ramp has been made-it is indeed that of Bree'Anna Guzman,22,who went missing when she walked to a Rite Aid drugstore to buy cough syrup for her children-at least her family and community know that much.
Yet this answer points to other questions. The coroner will answer some, but hard police work will have to find the others. In the mean time, the healing process will at least begin for all those who knew Ms.Guzman or followed the case as best they could from afar, feeling that it isn't O.K.,and that they're determined to give it the continuing attention it deserves-all the way to justice.
This blog,for one,feels such determination.
