Chandra discovers X-rays from Uranus: The strange planet that rotates on its side just got weirder - scientists have detected X-rays coming from Uranus, but aren't sure what's causing them. The Chandra X-ray Observatory was launched by Space Shuttle Columbia in 1999 and continues its mission to this day.
