Morgan Stanley has raised the price target for Tesla Motors stock to 465.00 from 280.00.They believe Tesla may triple its revenue by 2029.*
I think that Morgan Stanley, did you need to be that excessive?asked CNBC host and master investor Jim Cramer. It's cynical to use these price targets, telling the shorts they need to cover like that.
The Empire State manufacturing report-it's terrible,Cramer noted. The factories are doing not that well.*
Meanwhile,Toyota Motors is taking a hit from the chemical blast tragedy in Tianjin,China, which killed at least 117 and injured untold others, including 50 Toyota workers.Three of Toyota's production lines will be idled through at least 19 August because of the Tianjin evacuation.
Tianjin is the company's biggest production hub in China, and more than a three-day delay could have a material affect on the business.*
Canadian Brooke Henderson,17,won her first LPGA tournament at the Cambia Portland Classic in Oregon Sunday. She mastered the Columbia Edgewater Country Club course with an eight-stroke victory, providing relief to fans disappointed by Canadian golfers' scarce wins in recent years.*

Ecology Bulletin:Gray Wolf Detected in California
In what some see as a hopeful sign of a recovering environment, and others see as an alarming incident, scientists have detected the first gray wolf known to be present in California since 1924,when the last one was shot. The wolf was tracked with a GPS collar as it drifted a few miles south of the border from neighboring Oregon.
This may have happened before with a wolf that wasn't collared. If history be any guide,it may well happen again.
The biologists declined to give the wolf's exact location. It is known to have wandered 300 miles on this latest trek, but as it is an endangered species in California, its security is paramount.Ranchers throughout the West view the gray wolf with hostility as a threat to their livestock.
Wolves reintroduced themselves into Oregon in 1999.The wolves may have originated in Yellowstone National Park and Idaho, where they were reintroduced by biologists in 1995.These wolves had been trapped for that purpose in Alberta,Canada.

Shop Talk
A special greeting to Oregon, where I advertised for the first time this week.I always think of Mount Hood when I think of your state, and the Mount Hood daffodils on the property. They are both tranquil thoughts.Goodness knows we can use such thoughts in the wake of the Mumbai battle. It was a somber backdrop for the American Thanksgiving, but we managed to celebrate anyway, not letting the militants have their way.The uncompetitive National Football League games on T.V. were a joke. That can't be good for ratings or the sport itself. There's a real problem with selecting the teams so far in advance. You can't always tell which teams might be incompetent or dominant in a season. It would probably be best to have the day be more fully-scheduled.If the games turn out to be poor, you could just switch the coverage to another one.
