Euclid’s 208-Gigapixel glimpse into the Universe - YouTube - ESA - astrophysics/cosmology
The ESA Euclid spacecraft has released the first page of a large cosmic atlas it is photographing, amounting about 1% of the total. The ultimate purpose of the atlas and Euclid spacecraft is to explore the role of dark matter and dark energy in the universe. The first page of the atlas is a huge 208-gigapixel mosaic. The images were collected from 260 observations collected in just two weeks. It was released on 15 OCT 2024 at the International Aeronautical Congress in Milan,Italy by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher and Director of Science Carole Mundell.*Text by ESA and edited by Andrew Taylor*Cosmology is the study of the origin, evolution and structures of the universe.*Dark matter is about 27% of the universe, while dark energy is about 68% of the universe.

Secrets of the Cosmic Microwave Background - YouTube - PBS Space Time - astrophysics
with Dr.Matt O'Dowd,PhD (astrophysics),writer and host of PBS Space Time*The universe is flat. The era of radiation following the Big Bang evolved to the era of dark matter and dark energy.*CMB was discovered by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson in 1965.They were working for Bell Labs in New Jersey and stumbled upon this discovery while trying to eliminate noise from their radio telescope.Their finding provided strong evidence for the Big Bang and earned them the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1978.

Euclid | Launch to ‘L2’
The Euclid spacecraft was launched recently on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Its mission is to study dark matter and dark energy, which comprise 95% of the universe's mass.Remember Einstein's calculation E=MC2,Energy equals Mass times the square of the constant, the speed of light. So it keeps the Earth,Moon and Sun behind it in order to make long exposure observations of dark matter and dark energy without interference. The radius of its orbit around L-2,Lagrange point 2,varies from 400,000 to 800,000 kilometres.
