Artemis II astronauts visit European Service Module-2 - ESA
The Artemis II mission is slated to launch from NASA Kennedy Space Center Space Launch Complex 39B in November 2024.The voyage will take the astronauts farther away from Earth than ever before,surpassing the current record held by Apollo 13 by reaching an expected maximum altitude of 8889 km/5523 mi above the Moon's surface.

The Artemis II mission will take astronauts 4600 mi/7402.9 km past the dark side of the Moon,which is farther into the solar system than humans have ever gone before.
