Several milestones occurred recently at NASA Kennedy Space Center:1.The Orion Capsule and European Service Module were mated in the Vehicle Assembly Building.2.The 10 twin Solid Rocket Boosters motor segments arrived at KSC by rail from Utah,traveling across eight states in special containers.3.The sound suppression water system was tested atop the Mobile Launch Platform on its deck,flame hole and pad deflector.This will assure the safety of crew;Orion Spacecraft and European Service Module;Space Launch System rocket and launch infrastructure during liftoff,dissipating pressure and sound.The crew consists of NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman,commander;NASA Astronaut Victor Glover,pilot;NASA Mission Specialist Christina Koch and CSA Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen.The mission is slated for a September 2025 launch and will take humans farther from Earth than ever before.
