Scientists discover cause of brightest-ever burst of light | BBC News - YouTube - cosmology
According to US scientists,it was caused by a small star supernova 2.4 billion light years away, with gamma ray emissions 100 times brighter than anything ever seen before. The blast lasted seven minutes. It doesn't make sense based on our current model. It's estimated that such an event occurs only once every 10,000 years.
Cosmology is the study of the origin and structures of the universe. What would Einstein have thought about this strange event? If there's a black hole involved, the answer could be there.
